COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATE COVID-19 ANDORRA

Last 10 November 2021, the Andorran Government decreed new measures for the prevention of COVID-19 in public spaces, which have been recently communicated on its website as follows:

In Andorra, it is allowed to go without a mask on public roads and in outdoor areas. In the event that it is not possible to maintain the interpersonal safety distance or if there are crowds of people, it is requested to continue wearing it. The mask is still required indoors for people over the age of eight years and recommended from the age of six years.

The COVID-19 certificate is required in Andorra for access to nightlife venues, bars, restaurants and cafés. As from 29 November the obligation to present the certificate will be extended to spas, cultural and sports facilities (including museums, libraries, cinemas and gyms), hairdressers and beauty salons, hotels and tourist accommodation, gambling halls, socio-health and day centres and manor houses. It is also required for outdoor events with more than 1000 people and indoor events with more than 100 people. In the nightlife sector, attendees will need to have a negative rapid antigen test carried out within the last 12 hours.

Children under the age of 16 are exempt from presenting the COVID certificate for access to establishments, but must follow prevention measures, such as wearing a mask (from 8 to 15 years of age).  mask (from 8 to 16 years old).

  MOBILITY WITH SPAIN AND FRANCE.

In the case of Spain, mobility is allowed across the Spanish-Andorran border, both entry and exit, and it is not necessary to present any certificate. Traffic is free.

To travel to France, it is necessary to prove that you have received the full course of the vaccine at least two weeks before the trip, have passed the disease in the previous six months or have a negative PCR/AMR test within 72 hours prior to arrival. It is not required for trips of less than 24 hours to Ariège and the Pyrénées-Orientales, nor for children under 12 years of age.

TRAVEL FROM A THIRD COUNTRY

Any person over 12 years of age who wishes to enter Andorra from outside the European Union or from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican, must have either a certificate of vaccination - full course of vaccination received more than 14 days ago- or a certificate of vaccination - full course of vaccination received more than 14 days ago-, of recovery from the disease - COVID has been passed during the last 6 months - or a PCR/AMR test with negative result done not more than 72 hours before entering the Principality.

The document must be carried at all times to be shown to the authorities if required. As an exception, people from outside the EU or assimilated countries, but who have had an uninterrupted stay of 10 days or more in one of these countries can dispense with the need for these certificates. However, they will have to have a sworn statement indicating the date of entry into the EU or one of the assimilated countries and present the supporting documents that justify it, such as airline tickets, hotel reservations, etc.
Finally, in the case of visitors from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican who stay in a tourist establishment for 3 days or more, in addition to carrying this documentation, they must leave a copy of it in the establishment where they stay overnight, whether it is the vaccination or recovery certificate, the result of the PCR/TMA test or the sworn declaration. Accommodation should keep a daily written record of their users and the documentation provided.
In the event that they do not have the above documentation, they will be placed in compulsory preventive containment for 14 days, which may be reduced to 10 days if they undergo an AMR/AMR diagnostic test for COVID-19.

All visitors and tourists planning to travel to Andorra in the near future are recommended to have the Digital COVID Certificate valid in the EU.
